You Don’t Need An Answer

StuckAre you in a place where you can’t find an answer? You feel stuck? No solution seems to work? That’s bad news and good news. The bad news is that there is no answer. The good news is that there is no answer. Maybe you don’t need an answer. Maybe you need something else.

The season of your stuckness is a season of transformation. GOD is accomplishing greater things during this time when you have no answer or no direction. While that is encouraging to hear, it is also discouraging to hear. Transformation can be incredibly difficult.

Quit trying to change the circumstances. You have tried that and nothing is different. Don’t focus on the outside stuff. What’s going on internally? What needs changing there? How is GOD revealing and restoring the brokenness inside of you? Read these wise words from the Bible, Romans 12:2, The Message:

“Fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.”

You were not even aware of the brokenness perhaps. Maybe you were. But regardless, this season of your stuckness is a moment that something is shifting in your soul. He is calling you to a new future. A new future is not necessarily a new place. It’s a new you. That’s the future. It’s inside of you. So . . .

“Fix your attention on GOD . . . You’ll be changed . . . GOD brings the best out of you.”

Have you faced those stuck times when there was no answer? No direction? How did you grow? Share your story in the comments and encourage others who are feeling that same dilemma.

  1. That’s exactly where I’m at. I’m in limbo concerning my disability regarding my injury. I don’t know if they’re about to cut off my benefits or not, my lawyer doesn’t seem to be getting anywhere with the case and hasn’t answered any of my questions. And though I’ve pressed onward trying to get an educucation, I find out today that the PTA program that I was shooting for is to be discontinued at the school I’m attending. I truly feel stuck. I’m not afraid to take a step even if it’s the wrong one, it just feels like every step I make is the wrong one.

    • Limbo is a frustrating place to be. Disheartening too. I felt that way for years. Everything I tried just fell apart. No easy answers. But keep pressing onward. GOD was transforming me and strengthening me through all of it. I believe He is doing that for you. Hang in there. You will make it through. On the other side, you’ll have greater confidence to move into the next season of life. Praying that you have courage for the journey.
